Join Us and Become a Dangerous Leader

Better Together: Why It’s Time to Join Forces Through the School Leaders’ Think Tank

In today’s educational landscape, isolation is no longer an option for those of us committed to school improvement and student success. The challenges we face—achievement gaps, staffing shortages, community disengagement, and accountability pressures—are too complex for any one leader to solve alone. That’s why School Leaders’ Think Tank exists. And now, more than ever, it’s time to take the next step.

In the late summer of 21′ a few colleagues begin to ask questions about different innovative practices, policy changes, and school improvement applications. While attending a SIG conference at the MSU Riley Center, a charge was placed before me to start holding some meetings or online webinars that highlighted key applications that could warrant success in specific areas. This began to grow. While the Summer of 24′ hit its peak, School Leaders’ Think Tank began to establish itself as a rewarding platform of collaboration and excitement. In addition, the CEO Leadership program through Dr. Chuck Beningo and Dr. Patti Permenter, 40 school leaders’ from across the state began to take part. In addition, the Pine Belt Principals group has joined the force. Since then, the movement began to grow and school leaders’ from the Delta to the coast started to participate. This initiative spearheaded from humble grass roots has become a rewarding experience and it is about being “Being Together.” Hiding ones’ secret sauce isn’t doing what is best for children or the movement, it is selfish. Let’s continue to join together, for such a time as this.

We are Better Together.

The Think Tank isn’t just a name—it’s a mindset. A call to action. A platform where bold, passionate, forward-thinking leaders gather to share ideas, spark innovation, and create solutions that uplift not only individual schools, but entire communities.

But here’s the truth: collaboration only works when we show up. And that’s exactly what we’re asking you to do.

Join Us as an Active Contributor

We are now inviting all Think Tank members to become active partners in our growing movement. Whether you’re a veteran principal, an aspiring administrator, or a district-level strategist, your voice matters. Your experience matters. And your presence could be the missing piece someone else has been praying for.

We’re asking each partner to submit:

  • A professional headshot
  • A brief bio highlighting your journey, leadership experience, and passions

These will be used to build a powerful network of changemakers—one that represents diverse contexts, bold solutions, and a shared belief that public education still works when we do.

Why This Matters

Our students need more than a single great teacher. They need entire systems led by great leaders working in harmony. They need decision-makers who are willing to listen, collaborate, and lead with equity, data, and heart.
The Think Tank is more than a group. It’s a movement. A space where vulnerability meets vision and where knowledge is multiplied—not hoarded.

This is your invitation to make your mark.
To stop doing the work alone.
To join a team committed to leading where others don’t look.

Ready to Step Up?

If you’re ready to become an integral part of this work, reach out today. Submit your headshot and bio and take your seat at the table. We are shaping the future of education—one conversation, one idea, one connection at a time.

Let’s not miss the moment.
Let’s lead together.

Because after all, we’re Better Together.
