Every Monday, we reset, refocus, and remind ourselves of the calling of leadership. This is not just about managing the week ahead—it’s about manifesting the mindset that drives us forward.
The rhythm is simple, but powerful: Declare. Develop. Deliver.
Declare
This week, I challenge you to declare boldly:
“I will not play small.”
Too often, leaders shrink their vision to fit the limits of their circumstances. Maybe it’s the pressure of low resources, the weight of expectations, or the fear of failure. But ships weren’t built to stay in the harbor—they were designed to sail.
What vision have you been shrinking to make it more “reasonable”? What calling have you been ignoring because it feels too risky? This is the week to stop playing safe and start declaring what’s truly in your heart to do.
Develop
Declaration without development is just noise. Once you’ve spoken it, you must nurture it.
Take time this week to reflect on one area of leadership where fear has been holding you back. Write it down. Name it. And then replace it with a concrete action.
For example:
- If you’ve been hesitant to give teachers tough feedback, schedule one honest conversation.
- If you’ve avoided taking on a new initiative, draft the first step—even if it’s messy.
- If you’ve been afraid to lead differently, identify one change you’ll make in your next meeting.
Growth doesn’t happen in comfort. Growth happens when you decide to stretch your circumstances to fit your vision, not the other way around.
Deliver
This is where leadership comes alive. Delivering is about taking the bold step forward—not tomorrow, not “someday,” but this week.
Step out. Lead courageously. Push your ship into open waters and watch how others around you find the courage to do the same. Leadership multiplies not by perfection, but by action.

Remember: good leaders maintain. Great leaders move forward. This week, let’s move together.
So, I leave you with this charge:
